LIPO 360° TECHNIQUES
Tumescent Liposuction
Tumescent liposuction is a type of suction-assisted lipo that involves applying a tumescent solution to bind, swell, and stiffen the fat cells, making them easier to suction out with a microcannula. This is the most common liposuction technique, as it comfortably removes large quantities of fat from various body areas.
Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL)
Power-assisted liposuction is distinguished by its vibrating cannula. Vibrations from the cannula loosen fat cells, making lipo more gentle on the body, enabling a smoother extraction. This liposuction method is excellent for delicate regions of the midsection and is commonly utilized when performing circumferential liposuction.
Laser-Assisted Liposuction or SmartLipo:
SmartLipo utilizes concentrated laser light to soften and liquidize the fat. Not only does this laser-assisted liposuction technique melt fat, but its laser tautens the skin and seals blood vessels. This helps alleviate swelling, bleeding, and bruising during the healing process. Laser-assisted lipo helps improve skin quality in certain Lipo 360° patients.
Ultrasonic Liposuction or VASER lipo
VASER liposuction is a type of ultrasonic liposuction that uses pressured ultrasound waves to liquefy the fat. The cannula vibrates swiftly, emitting ultrasound energy that melts the fat so the surgeon can easily suction it. This liposuction technique works best on sensitive areas with many folds.
360° LIPO CANDIDATES
The ideal candidates for 360° Lipo are in good general health, do not smoke, and have sufficient skin elasticity. Those with loose or hanging skin should consider surgical procedures instead. Patients should also be within their ideal weight range. Those with medical conditions affecting the heart, lungs, circulation, or immune system may be more vulnerable to complications during 360-degree liposuction and should discuss potential risks with their doctors.
LIPO 360 RECOVERY
You will experience soreness, swelling, and bruising on the abdomen and surrounding regions after Lipo 360°. Every patient recovers at a different rate depending on their size, chosen liposuction technique, general health, and if they decide to graft the fat to other body areas. Nonetheless, it takes most patients only one week to commence routine tasks after their procedure. You will need to wear a compression garment 24/7 for the first three to four weeks after liposuction to help prevent fluid from accumulating between the skin and muscle on the treatment area. The garment keeps your incision dressings in place, improves circulation, and minimizes swelling to enhance your new curves. Swelling should subside within 6 weeks, and final results will appear after 12 weeks once the skin settles and adjusts.
BBL with Lipo 360
Combining Lipo 360 with fat transfer to the buttocks is common for many surgeons who perform icon sculpting procedures. The BBL, or Brazilian butt lift, is a surgical procedure that grafts fat from the midsection to the buttocks. It combines Lipo 360° with a butt augmentation, using the patient’s own body fat to create new curves. This approach not only enhances the size and shape of the buttocks but also contours the surrounding areas for a more defined and harmonious silhouette. The board-certified BBL surgeons at Icon Cosmetic Center will answer any questions you may have about this 2-in-1 body contouring procedure.
360° LIPO RESULTS
Lipo 360° provides permanent aesthetic results. Once your fat cells are suctioned out, they are gone forever, but you must maintain your results with exercise and a healthy diet. You will notice a narrower and more shapely midsection once the swelling subsides. Your waistline will appear more defined, and your abdominal muscles will appear more prominent. Many patients report that it is easier to find flattering clothes. We want to help you feel more confident in your skin after Lipo 360°!
